MINISTER REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO REVAMPING UNITY SCHOOLS

Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, has reiterated his commitment to revitalizing Unity Schools during an unannounced inspection of Queens College, Yaba, Lagos.

The visit, aimed at assessing infrastructure and welfare conditions, revealed the challenges of the nearly century-old institution. Dr. Alausa engaged with students, staff, and Principal Obabori, stressing the need for urgent upgrades to accommodate the growing student population.

The Minister assured that Queens College, along with other Unity Schools, would benefit from enhanced infrastructure, including libraries, hostels, dining areas, and classrooms, in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for improved education.

Dr. Alausa pledged continued assessments of Unity Schools nationwide, emphasizing a proactive approach to fostering robust learning environments and effective leadership.
