NPFL RESTORES LICENSES FOR NEW PLAYERS OF SEVEN CLUBS AFTER COMPLIANCE

Date:

Nigeria Premier Football League has reinstated the licenses of newly registered players from seven clubs out of nine that had previously defaulted.

The clubs benefiting from this decision are Enyimba, Plateau United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Bayelsa United, Lobi Stars, Akwa United, and Heartland.

NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Davidson Owumi, announced the restoration in a statement sent to the clubs, praising them for their prompt compliance with the requirements.

The NPFL pointed out that Akwa United’s licenses were restored on the directive of the Nigeria Football Federation while further investigations into their case continue.

The League body had recently withdrawn the licenses of newly registered players from nine teams due to unresolved debts owed to players.
