LALIGA AND SPANISH FA URGE POSTPONEMENT OF WEEKEND MATCHES FOLLOWING DEVASTATING FLOODS

Date:

LaLiga and the Spanish Football Association have requested the postponement of all football matches scheduled to take place in Valencia over the weekend, following devastating flash floods that have claimed at least 95 lives in the eastern region of Spain.

This request includes the highly anticipated match between Real Madrid and Valencia on Saturday.

The RFEF had earlier postponed six midweek Spanish cup matches involving LaLiga clubs such as Valencia, Getafe, and Real Sociedad, after authorities advised against all non-essential travel in the affected region.

In solidarity with those impacted by the disaster, LaLiga announced that a minute’s silence will be observed at all matches during the next two rounds.
