PRESIDENT TINUBU PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE LATE CHIEF EMMANUEL IWUANYANWU

President Tinubu has paid tribute to the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, describing him as a figure of immense stature who made significant contributions to sports, business, politics, and philanthropy.

President Bola Tinubu highlighted Iwuanyanwu’s pioneering role in Nigerian sports, particularly through his founding of Iwuanyanwu Nationale Football Club (now Heartland F.C.), which achieved national and international success under his leadership.

In addition to his sports legacy, Iwuanyanwu served in several official capacities, including as Chairman of the Raw Materials and Research Development Council (RMRDC) and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC). His leadership roles extended to other vital sectors, reflecting his deep commitment to national development. The President also commended his vast investments across various industries, showcasing his confidence in Nigeria’s potential for growth.

Chief Iwuanyanwu’s philanthropic efforts were another key aspect of his life, with scholarships for underprivileged students, schools, hospitals, and charitable initiatives marking his legacy of service. His compassionate and generous contributions to society deeply impacted the lives of many Nigerians, especially within his community.

President Tinubu concluded by expressing condolences to the Iwuanyanwu family, the people of Imo State, and the Ndigbo community. He acknowledged the great loss felt by the nation and prayed for the eternal rest of Chief Iwuanyanwu’s soul while offering support to those mourning his passing.
