The list of 14 players selected to represent Nigeria at the 10th International Handball Federation Women’s Under-18 Championship in China has been unveiled.
Coach Adewunmi Agboola Shittu has named Captain Esther Matthew, Samuel Precious, Babatunde Kehinde, and Igbenedion Blessing among others for the tournament, which will run from 14th to 25th August.
The team departed from Muritala International Airport in Lagos on Monday and is scheduled to arrive in China on Tuesday.
Nigeria will commence its campaign against Croatia on Wednesday.
They are also set to play Montenegro the following day and will face continental rival Angola on Saturday.
