NDLEA Arrests Over 300 Drug Suspects Within Six Months in Akwa Ibom

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says over 300 individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and abuse have been arrested in Akwa Ibom State.

NDLEA Commander in Akwa Ibom, Mrs. Obot Bassey who gave the figure during Passion FM Morning Programme, “The Morning Flight”, stated that the agency within the period under review, secured 61 convictions, rehabilitated 24 persons, and counseled 94 addicted persons.

Mrs. Obot Bassey cautioned the public against stigmatization or discrimination of persons rehabilitated from drug addiction.
