Turkey Halts Trade With Israel Over Gaza Conflict, Citing Humanitarian Concerns

Date:

Turkey has suspended all trade with Israel in response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, citing the worsening humanitarian situation in the region.

The Turkish Ministry of Trade announced that these measures would remain in place until Israel allows an uninterrupted and adequate flow of aid into Gaza.

Trade between the two countries amounted to nearly seven billion dollars last year.

Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, criticized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accusing him of acting like a dictator, adding that President Erdogan was neglecting the interests of the Turkish people and businessmen, as well as disregarding international trade agreements.
