Super Eagles Interim Coach, Austine Eguaveon Steps Down.

Nigerians Super Eagles’ Interim Coach Austine Eguaveon says he is quitting his role as the Coach of the Team, returning to his position as Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as agreed before he took over.

Eguaveon made the announcement following the 0-1 defeat the Super Eagles’ suffered against Tunisia in the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, Portuguese Coach, Jose Peseiro has been named by NFF, as a successor to Eguaveon and he is expected to take over as coach after the Africa Cup of Nations.
