2023 Elections: Peter Obi Visits Akwa Ibom, Promises Revitalisation of Sea Port

Citizens of Akwa Ibom State have been promised full operation of Ibaka Deep Seaport come 2023.

Presidential flag bearer for the Labour Party, Peter Obi made the promise when he visited members of theĀ  Nigerian Union of Journalists in Akwa Ibom State yesterday.

The visit was done ahead of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign, slated to hold in Akwa Ibom today, 20th December.

The Labour Party Presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi has made history as the first presidential candidate to consult the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Nigerian Union Of Journalists.

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour party Peter Obi, entertained and answered questions from Journalists in the state.

Obi also stated that if more people are brought out of poverty, crime will be reduced to its barest minimum stressing his plans to tackle corruption in the country.

The Labour party candidate also promised to revive the Ibaka Deep Seaport and ensure it is fully functional as he plans to turn Akwa Ibom into an Export medium for foreign and local exchange.

Chairman, Nigerian Union Of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State branch, Amos Etuk, thanked Peter Obi for honouring the Union’s invitation.

Etuk however, charged members of the union to vote for leaders who will bring about a better Nigeria not those who plan to destroy it.

With the Presidential Election less than 67 days away, Nigerians are getting ready to vote in new leaders.
