The people of the Obot Akara local government area in Ikot Ekpene senatorial district have made a passionate appeal to Clement Jimbo, to solve the poor representation witnessed in the senatorial district in recent times.
They made the request in Alabama village when Clement Jimbo, visited the area to profile the needs of the people of the local government area.
Speaking, the village head of Abama, Chief Idoreyin Ekanem Udoma, hinted that it was time for Akwa Ibom State to give the opportunity to young men since the older generation seems not to understand the current challenges bedevilling the youth and the nation.
On his part, the younger brother to Senator Chris Ekpenyong, the senator representing Ikot Ekpene senatorial district, Chief Ekpenyong Stephen Ekpenyong, said it was time for the people of Obot Akara to support what was right, fair and just, after suffering poor representation in the senatorial district for the past two years.
Addressing the crowd, Clement Jimbo who is described as the Ikot Ekpene senatorial district hopeful, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, thanked the people of Obot Akara for their belief and support in him, as an active voice for the senatorial district come 2023.
Obot Akara people concluded their appeal in a musical way by chanting Clement Jimbo, to clean their tears by giving the senatorial district a voice on the Senate.
