Super Eagles Coach, Jose Peseiro has applauded the Super Eagles for the efforts made during their opening match with Equatorial Guinea adding that the team were simply unlucky.
Peseiro made this statement while reacting to Nigeria’s 1-1 Draw against Equatorial Guinea at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
Peseiro said he was satisfied with the performance of his players despite the slightly disappointing result.
He however expressed disappointment in his team’s inability to convert their chances at goal.
Meanwhile, Senegal will face Gambia today by 3pm, Nigerian time.
