A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio has described a media report that he attempted to compromise members of the Akwa Ibom State APC Congress Committee as false.
Senator Akpabio said the accusation is based on a figment of the imagination of the sponsors and supporters of lies and falsehood.
The Senator’s reaction was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Jackson Udom and made available to newsmen.
Senator Akpabio said he is currently committed to achieving President Muhammadu Buhari’s mandate in the Niger Delta Region, and urged members of the public and APC members to disregard such news as it is fake .
