The Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Senator Godswill Akpabio has listed series of accomplishments the Commission has recorded and the special intervention programmes it has embarked on in tackling the problems faced by citizens in the Niger Delta region.
He made this known during an interactive meeting at the NDDC Headquarters with sixteen faculty members of the National Institute for Security Studies in the different Ministries of the Federation.

Senator Akpabio said the region has been known to be a very volatile region for years and due to the various intervention programmes from the Federal Government, the region is now one of the most peaceful regions in the Nation.
The Leader of the Faculty Members at the Meeting, D. E Ebeji applauded the accomplishments of the Commission, urging them not to relent in their efforts in ensuring the Niger Delta Region is secure.
