President of the Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio has lauded the Niger Delta Development Commission under Managing Director, Mr. Samuel Ogbuku, acknowledging it has performed optimally in the first one year of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The President of the Senate stated this at Iwuo – Achang Community in Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State where he represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to commission the Iko- Atabrikang- Akata- Opolom- Okoroutip – Iwuochang road that links over twenty communities in the state.
Deputy Governor of the State, Senator Enyakenyei Akon promised effective collaboration with the commission to execute landmark projects across the state.
Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engineer Abubakar Momoh, and NDDC Managing Director Samuel Ogbuku attributed their success to the bond agreement signed earlier this year.
The NDDC has in the last ten days inaugurated critical infrastructures across the Niger Delta Region which includes, the injection substation in Amufi, Edo State, the transmission line and substation in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Obehie – Oke Road in Abia State and the 27-kilometer Ogbia Nembe Road Project in Bayelsa State.
