Nigeria premier football league champions, Rivers United has crashed out of the 2023 Federation Cup
The Pride of Rivers returned to the country from Tanzania on Monday where they also crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup against Young Africans 2-0 on aggregate scoreline.
Their return to the domestic scene ended in a defeat as they lost the Federation Cup to Enyimba International 5-4 on penalties after the game ended goalless in the regulation time at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium
The 5-4 victory for Enyimba saw Rivers United crash out of two major trophies in four days.
