REA Assures Partnership with Private Initiatives on Clean Energy in Rural Areas

The federal government through the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has assured of its readiness to partner with Private Initiatives in providing Clean Energy in Rural Communities across the Country.

Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund (REF), Engr. Doris Udoh gave the assurance after inspection of a Solar-Powered Mini-Grid at Okpokunou Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Engr. Udoh said the Agency was ready to partner with private initiatives to achieve what SAF-AGA has done, in bringing development to rural communities in the country.

She observed that more buildings were springing up in the community since the inauguration of the mini-grid positing as an indication that the area is growing.
