President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathized with the family of former chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ishaya Iko Ibrahim, who served as Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command and Naval Western Command before reaching the peak of his career.
In a statement through his media aide, Garba Shehu, the president joined the military hierarchy, friends and associates in mourning the late naval officer whom he said his admirable service to the nation leaves a sustained legacy of loyalty, patriotism and gallantry.
He also condoled with the family and associates of former Head of the Directorate of Military Intelligence, Brigadier General Ibrahim Sabo, whose contributions to the security structure and operations, he said, would always be remembered, particularly playing a significant role in counseling leaders after his retirement.
Buhari prayed that the Almighty God receive the souls of the departed former military officers and comfort their families.
