Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Worldwide has urged President Bola Tinubu and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to prioritise the development of the Niger Delta and Ijaw Riverine Communities in Rivers.
The IYC President, Peter Timothy Igbifa, in a statement to congratulate the duo on their inauguration, also canvassed massive youth empowerment in the region
Igbifa called on President Tinubu to ensure adequate funding for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Ministry of Niger Delta to facilitate the development of the region.
Igbifa, appealed to Fubara to undertake road projects that would link riverine communities to facilitate the movements of goods and services and speed up the development of the state.
