Meta Platforms has announced a pause in hiring for its artificial intelligence division after recently onboarding more than 50 researchers and engineers, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for Meta, in a statement to Reuters, clarified that the decision was part of “basic organisational planning” aimed at creating a solid structure for the company’s new superintelligence initiatives, as well as aligning with its yearly budgeting and planning cycle.
