Independent National Electoral Commission says fresh registration in third quarter hit five million.

The Independent National Electoral Commission says fresh registration in the third quarter of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration nationwide has hit five million, one hundred and seventy-three thousand, three hundred and thirty-five.

INEC in its weekly update on Continuous Voter Registration for Quarter 3, Week 3, in Abuja on Monday, also disclosed that two million, six hundred and sixty five thousand four hundred and twenty one registrants had completed online and physical registration.

This according to the updated statistics comprised one million, three hundred forty-four thousand, eight hundred and thirteen males, and one million, three hundred and twenty thousand, six hundred and eight females.

The statistics indicated that 24,723 of the figure were Persons Living with Disabilities and 1,854,371 were youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
