House of Reps to Sanction Institutions Breaching Provisions of TETFUND Procurement Act

The House of Representatives Committee investigating the alleged abuse of 2.3 trillion Naira generated as Tertiary Education Tax by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND, has warned Institutions breaching the Provisions of the Procurement Act.

Leader of the Delegation and Member Representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Unyime Idem, handed down the warning to Heads and Managements of Institutions where TETFUND projects are sited, during the committee’s visit to Benue state.

In Plateau State, the delegation, while meeting with Governor Caleb Mutfwang, promised that their final report will help address the decay in the nation’s tertiary system.

The committee had earlier given marching orders to TETFUND to ensure the completion of all ongoing projects across institutions across the country within the approved time.
