Governor Udom Emmanuel assures Akwa Ibomites of more foreign direct investments

Akwa Ibom people have been assured by the State Governor, Udom Emmanuel of his commitment towards attracting more investors and foreign direct investment to boost the economy of Akwa Ibom State before the end of his administration next year.

Udom made this known at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, on arrival from an Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai 2022.

The Governor stated that Akwa Ibom took advantage of the business summit to project its investment opportunities to global investors, private corporations, financial institutions, and economic experts around the world.

He said that the State’s brand name ‘Ibom’ was well appreciated at the summit with major interests in the three major areas of deep seaport, industrial city and the science park that will attract huge Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the State.

Governor Udom, however, expressed optimism that before the end of his administration two new factories will be added to the number of factories and industries in the State, saying what would facilitate more investments will be an opportunity for the market to source equity.
