Ex-Nigerian Interim Leader, Ernest Shonekan, Is Dead.

Former Leader of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan, who succeeded the junta of General Ibrahim Babangida, is dead.

Shonekan died on Tuesday in Lagos at the aged of 85.

He was the interim Head of the Nigerian Government between August 26 and November 17, 1993 when he was ousted in a coup led by the late General Sani Abacha.
