The sum of one hundred and ninety million nairas will be entering the hands of those who have been victimized by the police as compensation in Edo State, following a recommendation by the Judicial Panel of enquiry that sat in that State.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, who announced this in Benin, the State Capital, during a meeting with youths across the 18 local government areas of the state, said he would also pay the sum of one million nairas each to two victims of the EndSARS protests, Oshima Steven and Miracle Ailenokhoria, with a promise to pay for their continuous treatment.
The governor assured that his administration would do all within its power to implement the 15 recommendations of the panel, saying Edo youths were the greatest resources of the state.
