Liverpool continued its impressive start under manager Arne Slot with a 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Darwin Nunez scored the decisive goal, ensuring Liverpool’s perfect record in the new competition format remains intact.

This win places Liverpool alongside Premier League rivals Aston Villa, both teams boasting three victories from three matches in Europe’s premier club tournament.

In a separate match, Erling Haaland delivered a stunning performance, leading Manchester City to a commanding 5-0 win over Sparta Prague, thus keeping their unbeaten streak alive in this season’s Champions League.
