BUHARI: I’M NOT EXPECTING APPRECIATION AFTER 2023.

Date:

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he’s not expecting any appreciation from Nigerians after the end of his administration in 2023.

Speaking in an interview with NTA aired on Thursday, President Buhari said he has been involved in governance in various capacities in the country, and he has given his “best” to Nigeria all through the years, adding that when his administration ends in 2023, Nigerians will recognise that he has served to the best of his abilities.

Speaking further, Buhari lamented the stress associated with the Office of the President, saying that age is telling on him.

“The age is telling on me, working now for six, seven to eight hours per day in the office is no joke — there are questions of the Executive Council, memos from as many States as possible to be considered virtually every week. Really, it’s a lot of hard work, but as I’ve said, I asked for it and I cannot complain, he added.
