Passengers have expressed frustration as international flights at the Murtala Mohammed international airport on Monday morning were grounded as a result of industrial action embarked upon by workers of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc.
An affected passenger, Alex Nuba, said the aviation company staff in the early hours of Monday walked out of the international airport, saying they were on strike and would not handle any passengers.
Nuba said passengers were frustrated as they had been kept outside to avoid a crisis and no information, announcements or emails were sent to passengers.
According to the Nigerian aviation handling company, the strike is due to a salary increment.
