The Wife of Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Patience Umo Eno has played host to a cross-section of Akwa Ibom Women who gathered for a Christmas and end-of-year party.
Pastor Patience Eno, who hosted the women at the banquet hall Of Akwa Ibom State Government House, Uyo, on Thursday, expressed gratitude to God for his mercies towards the women and state.
The First Lady lauded the women for their unity throughout the year 2023 and sued for more cooperation in the years ahead by lauding the Ministry of Women’s Affairs for putting together the event.
The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Akon Eyakenyi who described the night as memorable, said it was an opportunity to be grateful to God who sent his only son to be a saviour and deliverer of mankind, expressing the hope that the anticipated year 2024 will be a great year.
The Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Social Welfare, Ini Adiakpan, stated that having recognized the huge sacrifices of women in caring for and raising healthy families, the Governor’s Wife, Pastor Patience Umo Deemed it necessary to gather the women of Akwa Ibom State to celebrate them.
Goodwill messages were received from prominent women across the three senatorial districts of the state.
