Akwa Ibom State Government has declared Thursday 24th and Friday, 25th February 2022, as Mid-Term break for all public and private Primary and Secondary Schools in the State.
This is in compliance with the directive of Governor Udom Emmanuel towards ensuring that all private and public primary and secondary schools across the State have a unified timetable for all academic sessions.
A release signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet, enjoined parents and guardians to take note and ensure their children and wards observe the holidays. She admonished parents to engage their children in productive ventures to avoid unnecessary loitering on the streets.
The Commissioner wishes all Akwa Ibom Students and pupils a fruitful holiday, while advising them to be of good behaviour and to use the period to read and carry out their assignments for better performance.
Academic activities shall resume on Monday, 28th February, 2022 in continuation of the second term of the 2021/2022 academic session.
