A’Ibom State Ministry of Education Announces Second Term Resumption Date for Schools

The Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Education wishes to inform the general Public and all education stakeholders that the academic activities for the second term of the 2022 /2023 academic session in all Public/Private Primary and Secondary Schools in the State will commence on Monday 9th January, 2023.

This is according to the release signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet, who advised Parents and Guardians to make sure their children and wards are in school on the resumption day as classes will start immediately, and also provide them with all the educational materials they need to make learning possible.

“As usual, Heads of schools and teachers are expected to be in school at least 3 working days to the resumption date for pre-resumption meetings to further prepare for the success of the term”, She noted.

The Education Boss, urged Principals and teachers to be diligent in the discharge of their duties and to complete the scheduled curriculum for the term, adding that Government will not condone the collection of illegal charges under any guise, lateness to work or absenteeism by teachers and students loitering around the streets.

The Commissioner, On behalf of the State Government, the Ministry of Education and the Education Management Committee, wishes all pupils, students and teachers a Happy New Year and a successful second term.
