Mikel Arteta Remains Defiant in Title Race After Arsenal’s Draw with Nottingham Forest

Date:

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has vowed to keep fighting for the Premier League title, despite his team falling 13 points behind leaders Liverpool following a goalless draw against Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners have now dropped five points in their last two games, missing the opportunity to close the gap on Liverpool, who recently drew with Everton and Aston Villa. The stalemate at the City Ground saw Arsenal struggle to create chances, managing just one shot on target throughout the match.

With 11 games remaining and 33 points still up for grabs, including a challenging trip to Anfield, Arteta affirmed that his team would not change their approach to the title race.

“We will keep pushing and fighting until the very end. There’s still a lot to play for, and we believe in our ability to compete,” Arteta stated.

Despite failing to score for the second consecutive game, Arteta described the performance against Forest as an improvement over their disappointing display against West Ham, which had left him frustrated.

“We showed more intensity and control today, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. We’ll keep working hard to turn things around,” he added.

Arsenal’s title hopes now face a critical test as they aim to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
