Doma United, a team from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has been involved in a road accident while traveling back to Gombe after their matchday 35 fixture against Heartland of Owerri.
The accident occurred along the Makurdi-Lafia road, resulting in multiple player injuries. Fortunately, no lives were lost.
Reports indicate that the team bus somersaulted several times, and all injured players were immediately taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
Doma United currently holds the 18th position on the league table, with 43 points from 35 games.
This incident is part of a troubling pattern, as other teams such as Kwara United and Akwa United have also experienced road accidents in the past while traveling for league matches.
