Plane Crash In Alaska, Claims Two Lives

The Douglas DC-4, a rare aircraft with only a few remaining worldwide, crashed shortly after departing from Fairbanks International Airport in the expansive state of Alaska.

Alaska State Troopers disclosed the Plane had taken off shortly and crashed near the Tanana River moments later, and so far, they have been unable to locate survivors.

According to the State’s Department of Public Safety, the aircraft slid into a steep hill along the riverbank and subsequently caught fire. Tragically, no survivors have been found.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has confirmed its participation in the investigation into the incident. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will lead the investigation and provide updates as necessary.
