Super Eagles Head Coach, Jose Peseiro is full of excitement following the warm reception accorded the team by Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The three-time Champions who came second at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, lost 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the competition.
Peseiro and his players were received by Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock on Tuesday.
The players and their officials were awarded National honours, plots of land as well as flats in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the reception.
Peseiro took to social media to show his appreciation to the President.
Peseiro wrote on his official x handle, that they were received and commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who reinforced what they already felt from the Nigerian people, saying that participating in AFCON made the whole nation dream, happy and united.
