Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has pledged to initiate projects and programmes for the development of women and youths in the oil-rich Niger Delta.
Speaking during an interactive meeting with Women Leaders of Ethnic Nationalities and key stakeholders in the Niger Delta region at the NDDC Headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, stated that the Commission was focused on building strategic partnerships with the Women and Youths of Niger Delta Region.
According to Dr. Ogbuku, Women and Youths form the core of the Commission’s Development Programmes while also describing them as critical stakeholders in the region.
The NDDC boss noted that funding had been a challenge for the Commission which informed the focus on Public, Private Partnership, adding that the commission will build a dependable partnership with women groups.
