Lekki Seaport: The Minister Of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi Has Tasked Contractors To Speed Up Work, Proposes July For Commissioning.

Contractors for the Lekki Deep Seaport project have been tasked by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi to speed up work to enable the Government approve all the necessary processes before the next election.

Amaechi gave the charge while inspecting the ongoing construction of the lekki deep seaport project in lagos.

The Minister suggested that if the contractors had worked day and night they would have gone far and completed the work before commissioning; adding that if the President appreciates the progress, approval will be easier.

He however, commended them for the progress of work done so far i n less than 5 months, while urging them to do more, in order to beat the completion deadline.

Amaechi, however said that the port should be automated to avoid all forms of physical contact.
