Twitter on Monday demanded that Elon Musk complete his proposed $44 billion takeover of the social media company, condemning his withdrawal as “invalid and wrongful.”
Attorneys for Twitter said in a letter to Musk’s lawyers that was part of the security filing on Monday evening: “Twitter has breached none of its obligations under the agreement.
“Twitter demands that Mr. Musk and the other Musk Parties comply with their obligations to use their respective reasonable best efforts to consummate and make effective the transactions contemplated by the Agreement.”
The billionaire has however made no official response to Twitter’s demands as yet.
