Teachers have been tasked to focus on improving every child’s academic performance, especially children between the ages of one to five.
A Retired Inspector of Schools in Akwa Ibom State, Magdalene Peters gave the advice while featured on ADBN Television Breakfast Delight Program when she spoke on ‘Nigeria’s Pre-Primary Education Needs’.
Peters noted that teachers are expected to be innovative while discharging their duties and use the “Differentiation Approach” to meet their students’ academic success needs.
Peters also advised parents to pay close attention to their children and avoid peer comparison, adding that it is a bad way to prepare their wards for primary education class.
