SOUCEK AND WAN-BISSAKA SECURE WEST HAM’S VITAL 2-0 WIN AT NEWCASTLE

Date:

Tomas Soucek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were the heroes as West Ham United secured a vital 2-0 victory over Newcastle, easing the pressure on manager Julen Lopetegui.

Lopetegui, who replaced David Moyes during the summer, had faced a tough start to the season, with only three wins in the first 11 matches.

However, this commanding performance will provide hope to West Ham supporters that the Spanish coach can turn the team’s fortunes around.

The Hammers finished the match strongly, comfortably securing all three points to move six points clear of the relegation zone. They now sit 14th in the Premier League, just three points behind the top 10.
