Senate President Akpabio Denies Sexual Harassment Allegations

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has vehemently denied allegations of sexual harassment made against him by his colleague, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. In response to the petition filed by Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, Akpabio stated that he has never engaged in any form of sexual harassment.

“I will like to state clearly that at no time did I ever attempt any sexual harassment on the said Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan or any other woman for that matter,” Akpabio said. I and my siblings were raised very well by my late single mother who died in the year 2000.”

The Senate President emphasized his commitment to upholding integrity and respect in his interactions, particularly with women. He described the allegations as baseless and unfounded, reiterating his dedication to maintaining the dignity of his office and personal character.

The controversy has sparked debates within the political sphere, with calls for a thorough investigation to address the allegations and ensure accountability.
