Two-time Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu says if the President of the Senate in the Tenth assembly is zoned to the South East, he stands to be the best candidate that can bring about needed unity and peace across the country.
The Senator was speaking with State House correspondents after meeting with president Muhammadu Buhari in the Aso rock villa.
He appreciates the invaluable impacts of the federal government in the entire infrastructural landscape of the south east in the last eight years.
Highlighting more on the contents of his conversation with the President, Senator Kalu said he had briefed him on key issues as they relate to the realities in the upper house of the federal parliament particularly on the determination of the 9th senate to enshrine a lasting legacy of people oriented legislations.
