Italian club Napoli has signed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in a thirty million pound deal.
Napoli’s acquisition of Lukaku has been driven by manager Antonio Conte, who previously guided the Belgian to two successful seasons with Inter Milan from 2019 to 2021.
Lukaku rejoined Chelsea in 2021 for just over ninety-seven million pounds but has spent the past two seasons on loan in Italy, initially with Inter and then with Roma.
During his tenure under Conte, Lukaku scored 24 league goals and helped Inter Milan secure the Italian league title in 2021.
In a pre-match news conference, Conte indicated that Lukaku could make his Napoli debut in Saturday’s game against Parma.
