Remo Stars of Ikenne have successfully retained their position at the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League following a two- one victory over Rangers International of Enugu on Sunday night.
Alex Oyowah teamed up effectively with Franck Mawuema to open the scoring for Remo in the 51st minute. However, the lead was short-lived as Kenechukwu Agu equalized for Rangers with a penalty just four minutes later.
Tochukwu Michael netted the winning goal for Remo Stars, securing their fourth consecutive victory and maintaining a perfect record at the top of the table with 12 points.
In other matches on Sunday, Rivers United defeated Enyimba two-nil, while Abia Warriors achieved their first win of the season, beating Kano Pillars two- zero in Umuahia.
