The Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Mr. George Aluo, has urged NNL side El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri to pursue victory in this year’s President Federation Cup.
The finals of Nigeria’s prestigious football competition will take place on Saturday, 29th June, between El Kanemi Warriors and NPFL side Abia Warriors at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
Mr. Aluo expressed confidence in El Kanemi’s impressive performance in both the second-tier league and the Federation Cup, highlighting their potential to secure the trophy for the third time.
He encouraged them to continue their winning streak in the finals, underscoring the significance of their victory in affirming the NNL’s status as a pivotal league in the country.
He further praised the league’s strength demonstrated by the number of NNL teams reaching the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the FA Cup, indicating the league’s robust development under the league body’s leadership.
