NIGERIA’S DEFENCE CHIEF MEETS NSC CHAIRMAN, HIGHLIGHTS SPORTS AS KEY TO NATIONAL SECURITY

Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has paid a working visit to Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, in Abuja.

During the meeting, Mallam Dikko underscored the role of sports as a powerful tool for promoting national security and unity.

 

He recalled the 2016 initiative by the League Management Company that facilitated the return of football to Maiduguri, Borno State after a long period of insecurity.

Mallam Dikko further assured that the NSC would provide full support to the Nigerian Armed Forces as the nation prepares to host the 2nd Edition of the All-African Military Games in Abuja, scheduled for next week.

General Musa, in his remarks, stressed the critical role of sports in fostering national security and empowering youth.
