NIGERIA FOCUSES ON DIASPORA INVESTMENT FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH

The 7th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) concluded in Abuja, where the Federal Government reiterated its dedication to fostering a supportive environment for diaspora investments.

The three-day event highlighted the government’s push for infrastructural development across various sectors to create a seamless ecosystem for investors.

At the closing gala, Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Mrs. Jumoke Oduwole, spoke on the government’s commitment to facilitating diaspora investments, noting the essential role of Nigerians abroad in national economic growth.

Senator Anthony Siyako Yaro, Deputy Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora, underscored this impact, citing the administration’s ambitious goal to reach a GDP of $1 trillion by 2025, with notable contributions expected from the diaspora community.
