NDIC BEGINS AUCTION PROCESS FOR HERITAGE BANK ASSETS

Date:

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has initiated an auction process for the assets of the defunct Heritage Bank to expedite the liquidation process and pay out dividends to uninsured depositors.

According to NDIC spokesperson Bashir Nubu, the auction will be conducted at six designated locations nationwide, beginning December 4, 2024, for properties and chattels from the bank’s 36 affected branches.

Institutions, corporate bodies, and private individuals are encouraged to participate, with preference given to high bids that support continued banking services. Interested bidders must submit a 10% bid security and may inspect the properties a week before the auction.
