Security Concerns: Sani Calls an Emergency Meeting of Security Agencies

The conference, which took place on Tuesday at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna, was called in response to the uptick in bandit assaults and kidnappings in Soba, Zaria, Birnin-Gwari, and some other areas of Kaduna State.
Members of the state Security Council, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe; the Emirs of Zazzau and Birnin-Gwari; the state Commissioner of Police; the Director of State Security Services; and representatives from the armed forces and paramilitary organizations were present.
The meeting’s moderator, Sani, repeatedly emphasized the necessity of enhancing coordination between the security services, traditional leaders, and the populace.

The governor also reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to giving security agencies the necessary assistance so they may carry out their jobs in an efficient manner.
The heads of security agencies briefed the public on the security issues in Soba, Birnin Gwari, and a few other local government areas. They also discussed the progress that has been made in resolving the issues thus far.
After the meeting, Samuel Aruwan, the Overseer of the Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, gave a press briefing and said that the Security Council had made many resolutions on how to address current issues.
Emerging security risks such banditry, kidnappings, urban gangs, armed robberies, and other associated crimes in Kaduna State were also covered.
