The Labour Party (LP) on Friday, unveiled Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as the presidential running mate to Peter Obi, ahead of Nigeria’s 2023 general elections.
Baba-Ahmed who is the founder of Baze University, Abuja, was declared the vice-presidential candidate in Abuja on Friday.
His announcement comes barely 24 hours after Doyin Okupe, Director-General of Peter Obi Campaign Organisation withdrew as the vice-presidential candidate of the party.
LP had named Okupe as an interim vice presidential candidate in a bid to meet the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC).
