Date:

A Director with the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue, Dr. Aribibia Fubara, who was abducted on August 24, 2024, at the Okrika waterfront near the Marine Base area of Port Harcourt, has regained his freedom.

Reports indicate that Dr. Fubara was released by his captors shortly after midnight on Thursday last week on one of the smaller islands around Bonny. However, he was not reunited with his family until Friday, September 6, 2024.

A family source confirmed his release and disclosed that a ransom of ₦15 million was paid to secure his freedom after being held captive for 12 days.
